Founded Alongside Ardmore

1889

Established just two years after the City of Ardmore was founded, 1NB launched the first bank in the city and eventually what would become the state of Oklahoma. Growing with the city from its infancy, we helped our earliest residents and institutions get their start.

Through Ardmore’s good times and its challenges, we have stood by our city and our people. Following two local disasters, our bank provided support and dependable service to our community.

Onward and Upward

1975

As the city continued to grow, 1NB’s primary branch moved into its current location in the heart of Ardmore to provide better accessibility to local businesses and residents.

Expanding Our Community

1996–1998

The growth of 1NB progressed in the 1990s with a booming period of expansion across southern Oklahoma with the addition of new locations in Ardmore as well as several new branches extending essential banking services to surrounding communities.

Rural Growth

2003-2008

To accommodate our growing Murray County customers, First National Bank & Trust Company of Sulphur was built at 2013 W Broadway in Sulphur, Oklahoma in January of 2003 and continues to offer financial services to the Murray County residents. And in the same tradition, First National Bank acquired Citizens Bank of Velma in July of 2008.

Extending Our Reach

2015-2019

In January 2015, the 1NB Financial Center was opened in Norman. In July 2016, 1NB Financial Center began operating as a branch to accommodate customers. On November 1, 2019, this location began operating as a full-service branch. In March of 2019, First National Bank & Trust of Madill began operating from a temporary mobile office while construction began on the new building. A grand opening was held on June 7, 2021, welcoming customers into the new building.

Northside Success

2023

The continued success of our 1NB Norman Financial Center signaled it was time for more growth in the Oklahoma City metropolitan area. In June of 2023, the Edmond Loan & Deposit Center was opened for business and on November 10, 2023, it became a full-service branch.
